We enjoy going on hikes as a family so for the 4th of July weekend we decided to explore a new place, Maple Canyon. Our hike didn't last too long but we did see some great stuff!
My Adventure Kerrs
Crossing the bridge
Right next to the log bridge were hundreds of butterflies.
Here is just one I was able to take a pic of.
We stopped to have lunch on this log and found a lot of big ants working!
Little Rue loved finding ants all over this log.
Can you see the ants?
As we crossed back over the bridge we found this.......snake skin!
After the hike we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa's for some more fun:
Checking on the bees.
Feeding the fish in the pond.
We finished our really great day by watching the fireworks at night!
This was Rue's first time to watch fireworks and she loved it!

What a wonderful day!
Our favorite days look very similar to this as well.
Thanks for sharing
I love the looks of wonder and amazement you captured on little Rue's face!
This is the kind of activity my kids ask for as well. It is so relaxing, even though it can be exhausting!
Looks like a great weekend! I love the look on Rue's face in the last photo!! So cute!!!
Dude, that back pack is serious. I wish someone would carry me around in one of those. Where is Maple Canyon - by Grandma and Grandpa's? That butterfly is sweet.
